Wind. Rain. And hail.

The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta got quite a send off by Mother Nature today. In just under two hours the play area at our local park was turned into a little lake.

The wind swept in, quickly followed by a deluge of rain. That was followed by a crash of hail stones. It was alarming enough that I felt the need to bring the car in to the garage to prevent it from hail damage.

By the time the storm moved on an inch of rain had fallen and left the neighborhood quite a mess. The Chickabiddy and I went for a walk in the late afternoon and we decided to take a pass on the play structure in the park. We had forgotten our swim fins.

I ran all over the University area and neither there or up in my area by the mountains got any rain at all. Weird huh? There was a tornado in Moriarity.

Paul, I just wanted to write a comment and compliment your blog entries: everything from the subjects of Finnish culture and particularities, to the local events of Albuquerque, add a very unique spin to you life's experience - especially since we last knew each other. I find some vague similarities from my personal experiences living overseas (I lived in Sicily from 99-02), and I do have some very memorable and rich experiences from traveling through norteastern Europe (Lithuania and Poland especially) and it is nice to hear your experiences. I look forward to your future postings.

Hi there! I noticed your blog is very nice and interesting to me, so I thought I would leave you a comment to let you know that I liked it.

I also would like to invite you to visit me here in San Diego. There you will find my labels, and meditations, and music videos, but mostly my art in different perspectives...

hope to see you soon thank you
